Dear NBCL State Presidents,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to share an exciting opportunity for students within our organization. We will have a limited number of IOC Scholarships available to support the educational pursuits of our student members, and we are seeking your support in promoting this opportunity.
As part of NBCL’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and leadership development, the NBCL Scholarship Program is designed to assist deserving students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement and a commitment to the mission of NBCL.
Key Scholarship Information
Eligibility:

• Open to students enrolled in the IOC Program: Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Master I & II, University Levels I–IV
• Must be members in good financial standing of NBCL, Inc.
• Must be licensed cosmetologists currently practicing in the field
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and professional growth

Important Note:

• {There are no application forms.

Submission Period:

• Feb 14 – June 9, 2026

Required Documents:

• Copy of current cosmetology license
• Transcripts or certificates from previous education
• Two letters of recommendation

Award Details:

• Number of Scholarships: Determined by available funding
• Individual Award Amount: To Be Officially Announced (TBO); funds will be applied toward tuition or educational expenses
• Duration: One-time award per academic year or course duration

Selection Process:

• The NBCL Scholarship Committee will review all applications
• Evaluation will be based on academic achievement, professional accomplishments, and commitment to ongoing education
• Finalists will be invited for interviews (in-person or virtual)

We ask each of you to help share and promote this scholarship opportunity within your state chapters. By working together, we can ensure that deserving students have access to the financial resources they need to achieve their academic and professional goals.
